The Courtyard Garden

The Courtyard Garden is Eden within central Oxford. Nestled behind the 10ft walls off Paradise St this space dates back to the 12th and 13th Century and was originally part of the five-acre monastery orchard and kitchen gardens of the Greyfriars Monks. The Courtyard Garden divides The Masters Lodgings and Cloisters and is your own sanctuary to retire to. Both buildings benefit from French Doors out into the garden. You can read more of our history and the Greyfriars Monks here.
